There are potentially 25 drivers wanting to take to the circuit in Spa this weekend for Formula Two. The limit, however, is 24. At Silverstone we saw a packed grid, though at Magny-Cours Indian racer Parthiva Sureshwaren was forced to miss out due to sponsorship problems. He will return for this weekend’s race in Spa. With the addition of Jordan King to the grid, who will have to miss out?
The timing of the races means that unfortunately they will clash with Formula One. Belgium, like Valencia, is one hour ahead of the UK. Race one on Saturday starts five minutes into qualifying for F1, and the second race on Sunday starts 20 minutes after F1’s race.
@feeder_series (GP2) on Twitter says: “There will be 2 driver changes this weekend and at least 2 more suprises! We love our teasers” Assuming this is more changes beyond Parente going to Carlin and Vietoris returning to Racing Engineering, it could be an interesting couple of GP2 races.
