Adam Carroll (GBR) is 30!

On This Day:
The 1986 Australian GP had only 10 classified finishers. Alain Prost won after poleman Nigel Mansell’s tyre exploded.
The 1997 European GP took place at Jerez, Spain. Schumi led the championship going into the race, but retired. McLaren’s Jacques Villeneuve finished 3rd having started on pole, which won him the championship. Mika Hakkinen won the race.

Yesterday’s overall fastest driver in the GP3 tests was once again Kevin Ceccon. It was a wet-dry day. Emanuele Zonzini was fastest in the morning for Trident.
Sergio Perez was unwell yesterday, and may not be able to take part in practice. This could be an opportunity for Sauber reserve Esteban Gutierrez.
GP2 tests start today in Barcelona for two days. Alexander Rossi and Lucas Foresti will be at Caterham. Most other teams have yet to reveal their lineups at time of writing.

Formula 1, JK Racing Series and MRF Formula 2000 begin their race weekend in India, GP2 testing commences in Barcelona, and it’s the F1 Friday press conference.
