Countdown to 2013 Formula One season: 47 days

German ex-F2 driver Marcus Pommer is 22.
Cypriot GP3 driver Tio Ellinas is 21.

On This Day:
Rain shortened the 1974 Brazilian Grand Prix, at which local hero Emerson Fittipaldi took pole and win in his McLaren.
The 1980 Brazilian Grand Prix was dominated by Renault. Jean-Pierre Jabouille had pole, and Rene Arnoux took the win.

Alex Lynn won the first race at Taupo, while the second was won by Bruno Bonifacio.

The Daytona 24 Hours race, which began yesterday, will finish at 3:30pm local time (8:30pm GMT) A large number of ex-F1 drivers are represented.
