Countdown to 2013 Formula One season: 42 days

American racing driver Dick Rathmann, who took pole at the 1958 Indy 500, died in 2000 after a successful racing career and a long life.

McLaren launched their MP4-28 yesterday, featuring some fantastic cars from McLaren’s 50-year history. It’s well worth watching again here.
Despite speculation, the German Grand Prix will be going ahead in 2013 at the Nurburgring.
Marussia will be launching their 2013 challenger on February 5th, and GP2 runner-up Luiz Razia is expected to be announced as their second driver alongside Max Chilton.
